Safety

At Ann Elmore Transition House, the principle concern is for safety, more specifically, the safety of you and your children. The house has a security surveillance system, a completely fenced, well lit yard, unbreakable windows and fire alarm protection. In addition, a staff member is on duty 24 hours a day. The police response time is very quick. .

Cooking

The women usually take turns cooking supper and share that meal together. Breakfast and lunch are prepared individually. All food is supplied. Special dietary needs can be accommodated. Clean up is co-operative.

Bedrooms

A woman and her children will sleep in one room together. Women are not normally asked to share a room with another woman.

A fully accessible handicapped bedroom with washroom facilities is available, as well as a wheelchair ramp entrance.
