WHAT WE OFFER

The Campbell River Yacht Club offers a great number of benefits to its members. Some of those are listed below.

 

• EDUCATION - We regularly have experts attend our meetings to talk to us about new products, maintenance, world cruising, new regulations, safety, and other topics of interest.
• CRUISING - Each summer we plan cruises to various destinations. Many locations feature swimming or hiking opportunities. One of our most popular cruises is the May 24th cruise to Gorge Harbour where we meet with the Ripple Rock Power Squadron. Watch the events calendar and Newsletters for scheduled cruises. • CLUB HOUSE - Last year we officially opened our new clubhouse. The clubhouse is used for meetings and socials but is also available for some private member usage.
• SOCIALS - Wine and cheeze and potluck socials are held on a frequent basis.
• RACING - The club sponsors Wednesday evening races out of Pacific Playgrounds and a number of other longer races thoughout the year. The emphasis is on having a good time and this is a great way a get to know your boat and improve your sailing skills. Check out the events calender for specific dates and locations.

OTHER BENEFITS - Club privledges at some other yacht clubs and marinas, marine supply discounts, a forum to make yourself heard regarding boating issues, assured moorage at Pacific Playgrounds Marina, and a wealth of local knowledge available from fellow members to assist you with almost any boating project.
